"Inspired as a young boy, I followed in my father's footsteps into dentistry. Born and educated in Kentucky, I moved to Florida and opened my dental practice here in West Melbourne in 1984. I enjoy an active life- cooking, reading, outdoor activities, and grandchildren with my lovely wife Tara. I find the lifelong learning and progression of the dental profession is both enjoyable and very interesting. Dental science, materials, and methods have changed greatly since I became a dentist. But the basic ideals of professional service remain the same. Listen to your patients. Discuss their their options. Answer any questions. And then provide services after they understand and approve what they wish to do.
A common complaint of our healthcare system today is of rushed care, with little or no pre-treatment discussion of options of costs. We encourage questions. I love working on unique cases that are challenging. I appreciate each patient allowing me to work with them while we discover their best path to a healthy mouth.
As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for the past seven years, I enjoy working chair side with patients to give them the best dental experience possible. Being a native to this very town I trained, fell in love with dentistry and became certified there. I have a true passion for helping and truly love easing patients when they have questions or concerns with procedures. Being thorough and honest with patients during treatment is something I take pride in. I also take delight in, like Dr. Bailey, the tougher cases. It gives me pleasure to see how completely enthusiastic patients are when they see their final result.
I am the chamelon of the office as I support Diane at the front desk as well as assist Dr. Bailey with treating our patients. I fell in love with dentistry and began my journey in 2014 as the office Scheduling Coordinator. As my passion grew, so did my curiosity and enthusiasm. I decided to further my education by completing the Dental Assisting program and now can offer help to my team wherever I am needed. Although I was born in New Jersey, I am Brazilian and fluent in both Portguese and Spanish. I moved to Florida from Pennsylvania 3 years ago to be closer to my family and I am glad I did for many reasons... One being I no longer have to shovel snow!
